There are many ways in which MPs can become involved with science, technology and engineering issues in parliament. These include:
- Securing parliamentary debates
- Tabling parliamentary questions on key issues
- Joining a relevant All Party Parliamentary Group
- Participate in the Royal Society Pairing Scheme
Former Science Minister Ian Taylor and former member of the S&T Committee Dr Brian Iddons have previously written for the CaSE blog on the relationship between MPs, science and parliament.
CaSE would be delighted to meet with MPs to discuss key areas of science and engineering policy, how they may affect their consitutency, and ways in which they can work in this area. We can also provide MPs with a list of your fellow parliamentarians with a background or interest in science and engineering. Feel free to get in touch.
