Jargon Buster

The last 20 years has seen an explosion in organisations, schemes and projects in the field of public engagement with the sciences.

Luckily, the British Science Association has put together a Jargon Buster, which explains a number of acronyms in the field, and a Who’s who, which identifies the key organisations in science communication and public engagement.

All the acronyms and terms that pop up when discussing public expenditure can get confusing. However, HM treasury, the UK’s economics and finance ministry has a handy glossary which you can browse through here to easily get to grips with the jargon.
